I’m Attending an Event!

Planning to attend an event or experience? Have questions about an event before registration, or were you waitlisted? You’ll find those answers here.

How Do I Know if I Registered Successfully?

If you registered using Google Forms, you will typically get an email confirmation with your response to your email.

If you did not receive a copy, please feel free to reach out with the email address you signed up with to acquire one and confirm registration.

When Will I Know Registration is Closed?

If registration is closed, there will be a notice on the registration form itself, and you will not be able to submit a donation.

Registration typically closes on a specific date, or once we reach a certain attendance cap; whichever one comes first.

I'm on a Waitlist. When Will I Know if I Got In?

Typically, we add a waitlist to events when the event is full and we cannot support any additional people at the event’s location.

We do our best to notify you as soon as we can following a cancellation, either via phone or e-mail. We notify waitlisted individuals based on their position in the waitlist.

When we reach out to you, we will try to confirm whether you can attend event at that time.

If you cannot attend, or we do not receive confirmation in a timely manner, we may move on to the next person on the waitlist to ensure everyone has the opportunity to register.

Please note: Being added to a waitlist does not guarantee that you will be able to attend the event. Only registration means that you have a spot.

Volunteering with an Event

You can volunteer with an event the day-of, or on a planning committee ahead of time. You’ll find answers to questions for either scenario here.

I'm a Coordinator / Volunteer. Do I Still Need to Register?

Yes, please!

This helps provide us with accurate attendance numbers, as all events have a maximum capacity that can be accommodated.

Your registration information is also helpful for other areas of the event, such as food, accommodations, allergy information, and more.

It is possible for a coordinator to help plan, but not be able to make it for the event itself. Registering for the event confirms that you plan to attend on the day-of.

Who Are We?

F.E.R.N. is short for Flora, Fauna, & Fungi Ecological Resource Network.

Our mission is to support conservation by promoting synergy between individuals, communities, and organizations. Our work addresses the need for greater connection and communication in conservation.

We do that by promoting information equity which connects individuals with the social and physical resources to facilitate communication and knowledge.

We also connect ecological knowledge-bearers across different specialties so they can collaborate on mutual goals.

These aspects often come together to engage people with the natural world as we bring culture and nature together into a range of events and eco-experiences.
